Building Better People Productions and Mariposa Theatre for Young Audiences are pleased to bring you The Queens, The Cake, and Zak the Yak, an interactive Zoom-based theatre experience for families with kids from 5-11 years old (or kids of all ages). Audiences will help the rulers of two mythical kingdoms put their differences aside in a story about friendship, disagreements, and working together. Each performance will accommodate no more than 10 families, giving the most personal, fun, cooperative experience possible!
This production is made possible by a generous grant from Anne Arundel County Maryland and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.

Join us for a conversation between Lynne Streeter Childress, artistic director of Building Better People Productions and her twin sister, Leslie Gray Streeter, author of “Black Widow: A Sad-Funny Journey Through Grief for People Who Normally Avoid Books with Words Like ‘Journey’ in the Title”. They will talk about the recent paperback release of “Black Widow”, grief, parenting, race, the best member of Duran Duran, and many other things. There will be a Q&A at the end over chat.
