Bring your whole family to see Feeling All the Feelings, our show about emotions, running in Annapolis in March!

Laila is a 10-year-old girl who feels feelings so big, in fact, that she suspects they might be TOO big in other people’s eyes. She comes up with a way to express her emotions that seems to make everyone else happy. But will it work for HER? In this funny, emotional, interactive one-person play starring and written by Lynne Streeter Childress, Building Better People Productions explores the enormous range of kids’ emotions, the pressure they feel to be accepted, and the awesomeness that comes from feeling ALL of your feelings.
Feelings has been performed for schools in Maryland and Virginia, at arts festivals in Annapolis and Philadelphia, and this is a rare opportunity to enjoy it with your family! Shows run March 8th and 15th at 1PM and 3PM each day. Tickets are $13 general admission for people 3 and up, with free admission for kids 2 and under.
These performances of Feeling All the Feelings were made possible in part by a Spring 2025 Mini Grant from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, who have supported Building Better People Productions over the years.

Summer is almost here! We can all use some sunshine and laughs and fun, and BBPP has lots of that! Starting in June (this month!), we are presenting a series of drop-in virtual camps for kids from 4-18, and you can find our about them here! We are also making a few public appearances of family performances in Annapolis that are free for families.
We hope you have a wonderful summer, and that you join Building Better People Productions for our brand of kind, inspiring entertainment for the whole family!

We are so sad to report the passing of Lauren Loader, an amazing artist and teacher who was a big part of the life of Building Better People Productions in our earlier days. She was a wonderful photographer who took press photos for several of our shows, including The Imaginators and one of our casts of We Got It: A Show About Empathy, both in 2017. Lauren also provided babysitting services for the cast and crew of The Imaginators, making it possible for us to bring our kids to work with us, and also personally babysat for me, often coming to my house when I had school shows so she could take my son to school. If you ever auditioned for one of our plays, you may have seen Lauren at the sign-in table, greeting everyone. Lauren went on to graduate from Trinity Christian College in the Chicago-area, and was an art teacher at Zion Central and Shiloh Park Middle Schools. She is survived by her parents and her fiancé’.
Below are some of the images that Lauren took for us. Her spirit and spark come through in them. In appreciation for all she was, we are dedicating the rest of this 2022/23 season, and the 2023/24 season, to her. She is missed.
