Liza Skinner (Director) is a director, actor and teaching artist in Annapolis, MD. Directing credits include: “The Little Prince” at Anne Arundel County’s Performing and Visual Arts Magnet Program at Wiley H. Bates Middle School, Building Better People’s inaugural production “We Got It!: A Show about Empathy” , co-directed “The Little Prince” with Young Actors Studio at Compass Rose Theater. She was a teaching artist and Program Assistant for the Educational programs at Compass Rose Theater, a teaching artist at the Actors Shakespeare Company at NJCU for several years and helped develop and implement their outreach program for WINS! (which brought Shakespeare to local NJ middle/high schools) and their 4th grade theatre program. She has also taught theatre and directed productions for: Oasis Children Services NYC camp and after school program, the Girl Scouts Patriot’s Trail Inc., Notre Dame Academy Summer Institute, and West Virginia University (Intro to Acting for Undergraduates). As a actor, she has worked with Compass Rose Theater, Actors Shakespeare Company (at NJCU), Greenbrier Theatre, MLH Productions (a company she co-founded), Women’s Shakespeare Company, and WVU’s School of Theatre and Dance. She has a BFA in acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and a MFA in acting from West Virginia University
